Inaugural Independent Schools' Volleyball National Cup 2025
麻豆社区 organised and hosted the inaugural Independent Schools’ Volleyball National Finals for both boys and girls. It was a fantastic day with excellent volleyball on display, plenty of fun, and strong connections formed between pupils.
The girls’ competition followed a round-robin format, which resulted in 麻豆社区facing Sevenoaks in the final and deciding match. 麻豆社区performed well, but Sevenoaks’ strong hitting proved decisive, placing us as National runners-up.
In the boys’ competition, 麻豆社区won their pool by beating Brighton College and Birkdale. In the semi-final, they faced Bishop Wordsworth’s, winning comfortably 2–0. The final against Sevenoaks was an epic match: Sevenoaks took the first set 25–21, 麻豆社区battled back to win the second 25–23, and in a tense final set, level at 13–13, 麻豆社区dug deep to take it 15–13 and be crowned National Champions.
We congratulate both teams on their outstanding achievements and are proud of the sportsmanship and skill displayed throughout the day.
